Discover our ideas for activities to keep your children busy during the Christmas holidays and to keep them waiting until Santa Claus arrives.

Enjoy the magic of “Brive Fête Noël”  

From December 7 to January 5, magic takes over the city center and brings many events not to be missed: the arrival of Santa Claus December 7, the giant rides (the Christmas tree carousel and the Ferris wheel), the gourmet market and its entertainment, the big parade on December 22, the funfair......

To amnege

  • In Brive, you will find a carousel on the Civoire square and the fun fair on the Place du 14 juillet. (From the 7th). New this year: the giant fir tree (4€) in front of the Theater and return on the great wheel (4€) from December 14.

  • Objat also celebrates Christmas during the holidays. Among the activities offered, young and old alike can enjoy a carousel in the city center from December 13 to 3. See the program in the section Christmas in Objat.

Have fun while staying warm

Brive Media Library 

(Information: 05 55 18 17 50)

  • Saturday 7th and 14th December : children can come to the city center Media Library from 15 p.m. to 16:30 p.m. to write a nice letter to Santa Claus. Register at 05 55 18 17 50 and from 2 years old.
  • Wednesday December 11: “Bouts de ficelle et sorciers” show at 15 p.m. at the Michel Dumas Media Library. Free entry upon reservation at 05 55 18 27 69. Duration of the show: 50 minutes. This show is suitable for children aged 5 and over.

Objat Media Library 

  • A reading workshop is organized at the Objat Media Library on Saturday, December 14 from 14:30 p.m. with the author Christian GAUT.

Bookstore at the Crossroads of Words (Brive)

  • Readings on January 28 (as every last Saturday of the month) in partnership with the association Lire et Faire Lire. The books are selected for an age group of approximately 3-6 years. From 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Discover or re-discover typical villages  

  • Randoland, will allow you to discover the territory in a fun way! No more walks where you drag your feet, it's you who is the actor in the plot! Routes available in Yssandon, Estivaux and Lissac sur Couze: click here.
  • Geocaching Terra Aventura : this fun game will lead you straight to treasures! Equipped with a smartphone, download the application and go looking for the famous caches! You have them in Vars-sur-Roseix, Sainte-Féréole, Chartrier-Ferrière, Brive-la-Gaillarde, Saint-Robert, Donzenac and Ayen. Find all the information on the Tèrra Aventura page.
  • Game booklets: Brive Tourisme also provides you with game booklets which will allow you to discover from a new angle: Ayen, Brive-la-Gaillarde, Donzenac, Yssandon, Saint-Robert and Turenne. These game booklets are available at the reception of the Brive Tourist Office or downloadable HERE

Gramat animal park

  • The Gramat Animal Park : Listen to the mysterious sounds of the forest and be amazed by the luminous animals hiding in the middle of the woods… A magical journey awaits you, at nightfall, for a magical and immersive experience in the heart of the park. On the program: 18:30 p.m.: arrival at the Park; 19 p.m.: feeding the wolves; 19:30 p.m.: hot drink by the fire.
Gramat Park offers the Enchanted Forest Night Tours
  • December 27: Christmas Day at Gramat Park : On the program? Distribution of gifts by Santa Claus, feeding of the reindeer, face painting and many other surprises. At the end of the day, you can also enjoy the illumination trail of the Enchanted Forest.

Bovetti Chocolate Museum

  • Bovetti celebrates its 30th Christmas! On this occasion, the Bovetti chocolate factory offers a visit to its museum to all children with a sweet tooth and chocolate passion! Every day, from 04 at 21 december, Bovetti opens its doors to children curious to explore the intoxicating world of artisanal chocolate, its history, its origins, its scents... Admission is free for children (from 3 to 12 years old) and includes the visit, the making of a chocolate mold and the tasting. Visit by reservation at 05.53.51.81.53.

Get a breath of fresh air while hiking

Sporty or less sporty, we offer numerous circuits. hiking adapted to each person’s level. It's an opportunity to get some fresh air between two meals and do a little exercise. You will find a selection of trails HERE

Without forgetting the Greenway along the Corrèze and the Vézère… A gentle path to follow on foot or by bike. 

Stroll through the local markets

Truffles, foie gras, confits, chestnuts.... We are lucky to have stalls overflowing with local produce each more appetizing than the other. Do not hesitate to visit one of the many markets of our cheerful and very greedy country! Brive-La-Gaillarde (and its controlled truffle market), Objat, Malemort, Allassac... Without forgetting the Gaillard Hall which is a beautiful showcase of our local products.
