After 6 months of work, the emblematic Briviste establishment Black Truffle has been completely renovated and will open its doors on October 16.
After changing ownership last April, the hotel has had a makeover and moved upmarket in order to be able to claim a fourth star. New equipment, such as air conditioning, was installed in the rooms and the decoration was able to preserve both the spirit of the place while adding a touch of modernity.
The hall (see photo) is now refined and much brighter. It retains its red ceiling from which a huge ultra-modern chandelier has been hung.
The facade has been completely cleaned and repainted.
18 rooms will be open for rental on October 16. But by then Book fair, all 27 rooms should be available.
Located under the restaurant room, the cellar has been completely renovated.
This very cozy and intimate space will be very popular for having a drink before or after the meal.
The kitchen has also been completely redone. A “chef’s table” has even been installed and will allow a few customers to eat while watching the professionals work.
As for the chef, Fernand Vaz, he knows our region and our local products very well. Trained in Corrèze, notably at Castel Novel (when he was 1 star), he also worked at the Louis XV in Monaco, as well as in large hotels in Berlin and Switzerland. The latter will offer fusion cuisine, combining Japanese techniques while working with local products including truffles of course!
