Nestled in the heart of the Voutezac forest, the nano Canhopée brewery reveals itself as a living homage to nature and the art of Corrèze craft beer. Its name, Canhopée, is a poetic celebration of its intimate connection with the forest that surrounds it. But what does Canhopée really mean, and why this singular choice?
“Canopy” refers to the tops of trees in a forest, where biodiversity is expressed most vigorously and where sunlight caresses the foliage. It is in this upper layer that life flourishes in its greatest diversity. The delicate addition of the “h” in Canhopée is not a coincidence. It symbolizes the hop, this climbing plant essential in the making of beer, which, just like the plants of the canopy, seeks to reach the light. This play on words perfectly illustrates the philosophy of the brewery: a constant quest for quality, authenticity, and a deep respect for nature.
Brasserie Canhopée stands out for its range of tasting Corrèze beers, produced with respect for brewing tradition and the environment. Without additives or preservatives, these beers are the result of a simple but rigorously selected composition: water, malts, hops, yeasts, and, for certain recipes, a subtle touch of spices or aromatic plants. Unfiltered and unpasteurized, they offer an authentic and rich taste experience.
This range is expanded with limited creations (Verbena, Hibiscus, Cocoa...)
