Fortified church of Allassac

The Saint-Jean-Baptiste church is Gothic in style, built in black schist enhanced with red sandstone. Its square and massive bell tower, fortified with machicolations, gives it the appearance of a fortress. To the south, a typically Limousin style door opens, decorated with thin cylindrical moldings, with a multi-lobed internal arch. The interior contains 3 altarpieces from the XNUMXth century which are believed to be the work of the Duhamel brothers. Free access.
