President Jacques Chirac Museum
SARRAN
From €4.50 - Full price
The President Jacques Chirac Museum houses the 5.000 diplomatic gifts offered to the president between 1995 and 2007. Jacques Chirac in turn became a donor by choosing to offer them to the Corrèze Departmental Council. 1.000 of them are presented in the heart of the visitable reserve.
In addition to this initial function, there is now the desire to present to visitors what makes the person, or even the character, of the President of the Fifth Republic. A transformation that began in 2023 with the reconstruction of the "Golden Salon", the office of the Presidents at the Elysée, and which continues today with the "presidential gallery", where some personal objects and 40 diplomatic gifts offered to the 8 Presidents, from Charles de Gaulle to Emmanuel Macron, are exhibited.
Temporary exhibitions, always new, are to be discovered.
