Haut Quercy Tourist Railway “Le Truffadou”

Discovery of the Dordogne Valley via the old railway line cut into the cliff at an 80 meter height. Each journey is planned from Martel to Saint Denis Lès Martel (return). Depending on the timetable, a magnificent steam locomotive or a powerful diesel is at the head of the train, ready to transport you on a fantastic journey. A one-hour commented trip, at low speed, along the corniche, to discover the landscapes of the Dordogne Valley and the rich history of this railway line put into service in 1889.
We also offer a visit to a museum of old railway objects, upstairs in the passenger hall: models, lanterns, tools, etc.
