The cliffs

The Falaises trail takes you through the village of Turenne, a medieval town with narrow streets where you can admire the adjoining houses and mansions from the XNUMXth and XNUMXth centuries. You will walk alongside the castle, see its imposing remains, its high Caesar tower (XNUMXth century) and its Treasury or Clock tower (XNUMXth century). They will remind you that Turenne, until the XNUMXth century, was a real state within a state, minted its currency and raised its troops.
Then you will reach the neighboring causse by walking in a bocage setting, pass at the foot of the Château de la Peyrouse (XNUMXth century) and reach old quarries, the highest point of the hike where you will enjoy the panorama.
Finally, returning towards the Tourmente valley, the views of the village of Turenne, with slate or slate roofs, will be offered to you.
