Yssandon Tower
Are you looking for a nice place to admire beautiful landscapes? In Pays Gaillard, we have what you need! Today, on the way to Yssandon…
But what is it ? A tower here?! Well yes, it is the last vestige of a medieval castle which was destroyed during the Hundred Years' War in the XNUMXth century. To see that she has crossed the ages, she still seems quite cheerful, don't you think?
On either side of this “summit”, orientation tables offer you a breathtaking view of the Brive Basin, the Monts d'Auvergne and the Périgord. It's worth stopping and enjoying the scenery!
- The first orientation table is located near the Tower, at the top of a small mound.
- Take a few steps, and there, behind the Saint-Hyppolite church, at the outside corner of the cemetery, more precisely, another point of view and an explanatory table await you.
Below, the countryside awaits you... a desire to stretch your legs overcomes you... so don't wait, put on your hiking shoes and set off to explore Yssandon!
