Chasm of Padirac
PADIRAC
From 18.00€ - Full price
The Padirac Chasm, the most famous in Europe, is considered one of the greatest geological curiosities in France. It was explored in 1889 by Edouard-Alfred Martel. After a dizzying descent to a depth of 103 m, you embark on the underground river for a boat trip. It is then that you will discover the Grande Pendeloque, a giant stalactite 60 m high, which, as if suspended from a thread, seems to be admired on the surface of the Rain Lake. You will dock and continue on foot towards the Salle du Grand Dôme, whose vault is 94 m high. This offers a multitude of concretions, calcite waterfalls, shaped by nature over millions of years.
