Make way for books and reading this weekend. The Nights of Reading take place in Brive, Objat and Varetz and offer a wide variety of activities for a wide audience.

Friday January 24
Market in Allassac : stock up on local products directly from producers at the market located in the center of Allassac.
Reading Nights:
- In Brive: Murder Party at the Brive media library at 19 p.m. A heinous murder has been committed. Come and investigate to find out who is the culprit, with what weapon and in what place? By registering at 05 55 18 17 50, 100 people maximum, free. From 8 years old.
- In Objat at the conference hall :
-Play : Skit on the theme of musical heritage, from 19:30 p.m. to 19:45 p.m. at the Objat Congress Hall.
- Then danced musical heritage : traditional dances and reading of stories by elementary school classes with explanations on the origin of these stories. From 19:30 p.m. to 21 p.m.
- The evening will end with youth author animation. Reading of stories, poems and singing of nursery rhymes on the theme of the culinary heritage of "our cultures". Interpretation and animation by Sandrine MAGE, author and poet... From 21 p.m. to 22 p.m. - In Varetz at the media library pajama party from 20 p.m. to 22 p.m.: Come in your pajamas with your cuddly toys for a friendly pajama party where young and old will dive into the world of traditional tales, some of which will be told in Occitan. This evening, accessible from 3 years old, will be hosted by volunteers from the media library.
- Raclette evening Les Bronzés go skiing at the Causse Brewery : rediscover the atmosphere of ski holidays with raclette and pole planting! Don't forget your hat, your wetsuit and your skis! On a misunderstanding... Mulled wine, tasting of beers, wine, cheeses and charcuterie. Reservations at 06 71 39 61 39.
- Prototype evening and Tarot and belote evening at Briv'Yolo : like every Friday evening, this games bar offers a Tarot and belote card game evening. From 19:30 p.m. Saturday: Altered card.
- Musical and humor show at Cabaret Gaillard : Mike & Riké by Sinsémilia. Meet two emblematic figures of Sinsémilia, the group that marked several generations with the timeless hit "Tout le bonheur du monde". Mike & Riké invite you to share an extraordinary musical adventure. Doors open at 20:00 p.m. and the show starts at 21:00 p.m. Show price: from €24.70 to €34.70. Saturday, January 25
- Discover the large market of Brive on the Place de la Guierle and under the Halle Georges Brassens. Another market is also held on Place Thiers on Saturday mornings (in front of the Halle Gaillarde).
Solidarity sale of Secours Populaire in Malemort: this sale is organized as part of the 80th anniversary of Secours populaire. You will benefit from solidarity prices on a wide range of clothing, books, toys and other items. At the Salle Jean Ferrat from 10 a.m. to 17 p.m. Also on Sunday.
Reading for 3-6 year olds at the La Croisée des Mots Bookstore (rue Emile Zola). These readings are done in partnership with the association Lire et Faire lire. For ages 3 to 6. From 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Free.
Movie snack at the Rex: The extraordinary adventures of Morph. With this program of 8 short films gathered in one film, dive into the mischievous world of Morph, a mischievous little creature made of modeling clay. He shares his adventures with his best friend Chas and a happy band of companions, including the bubbly Delilah, the wise Grand Morph and the Very Small Creatures. They live together in an artist's studio, where every corner of the office becomes the setting for astonishing situations. Between humor and surprises, their adventures promise unforgettable moments in a universe where anything can happen! At 16 p.m.

- In Brive at the media library:
- Songwriting Workshop for children, with the group Du vent dans les bronchi (from 6 years old by registration) from 14:30 p.m. to 17 p.m.
- Cyrano literary game and readings on the theme of Heritage from 17 p.m. to 21 p.m.
- Pyjama party from 18 p.m. to 19 p.m. Come in your pajamas with your cuddly toy to listen to beautiful, gentle stories on the theme of heritage. Free entry from 3 years old.
- Games around the sounds of musical extracts and songs from 19 p.m. to 20 p.m. with a challenge for the team that answered the worst
- Young audience concert (from 2 years old) from 20 p.m. to 21 p.m. with the group “Du vent dans les bronchi” (by registration only - limited to 100 people maximum). - At the Objat media library:
- Meditative reading to the sound of the Tibetan bowl : readings aloud of poems and extracts from novels punctuated by the sounds of various musical instruments. From 16 p.m. to 17:30 p.m.
- Then, conference on the theme of heritage by Louis-Olivier Vitté (author) in the presence of 6 other authors: Régine Rossi-LAGORCE (The "culinary matrimony"), Jean-Michel Valade (The artistic heritage among others.), Jean-Marc Plantade (safeguarding a heritage, the vine), Jean-Paul ABADIE (Authors of the association of peasant artists and writers), Jean-Claude Chataur (the natural heritage) and Jean-Paul Malaval (the family heritage...) from 20 p.m. to 21:30 p.m.
- Then meetings and signings with the authors from 21:30 p.m. to 22 p.m.
- Opera at the Rex: Aïda. Aida, an Ethiopian princess, is held captive in Egypt. Amneris, the king's daughter, considers her a rival because she is loved by Radamès, the leader of the armies. When the latter returns victorious from a campaign against Ethiopia, Aida is convinced that her father, King Amonasro, died in combat. But, disguised as a simple soldier, he survived and proposes to his daughter a plot to discover the military secrets of the Egyptians. At 18:30 p.m.
- Pop-rock concerts at the Causse Brewery : Two groups are on the program: Hurle which blows on the embers of 90's rock and Extatic which is an electro rock group. From 19:15 p.m. Reservations at 06 71 39 61 39.
- Theater in Mansac: A family affair. In Bergeval, rumor has it that Mayor Edmond Brichard is the father of an illegitimate child. The man in question, who is considered to be of great moral rigor, swears by all gods that he has never known any woman other than his own. He is also unable to claim paternity because of the mumps he contracted in his youth. And yet! At 20:30 p.m. at the Mansac Polyvalente hall. Prices: €15 (price for 8 to 12 year-olds: €7). Drawing lessons Oh, you little, lively cats! : drawing classes are offered from 10am to 11:30am at the establishment. Price: €10. This price includes one drink.
New Year's concert in Saint-Viance : The Mozaïk Choir will perform at 15 p.m. at the Espace de Vie Sociale of the Saint-Viance association at the beginning of this year. Free entry.
Family games afternoon in Cosnac: an afternoon for young and old. Come with your family from 15pm to 18pm to the municipal hall (under the dojo) with your board games to introduce them to others. A stand of drinks and treats will be held by the Cosnac teen club.- Snack and concert at noon and Karaoke in the evening at The essential in Brive: Come and sing your favorite hits at this karaoke event, held every Sunday from 21 p.m. More information on 06 22 94 32 74
