Our favorites of the weekend

We decided to start our favorites from...Wednesday because we are thinking of the lucky ones who will have 5 days off! And good news never comes alone, the sun will be there. Ideal for bargain hunting garage sales, participate in a hiking or simply visit.

Wednesday 8 may 

  • Garage sales in Saint-Viance: organized by Saint Viance Loisirs for the benefit of young people. From 9:00 a.m. to 18:00 p.m. Catering by reservation, refreshment bar, free inflatable structures all day long. Information on 05 55 84 42 30 or 07 78 87 82 63.

  • Bread hike in Saint-Viance : 10 km circuit accessible to all supervised by Rando Saint-Viance. Departure from the leisure reception at 9:30 a.m. Prices: hike and aperitif €4; hike, aperitif and meal €16; children under 10 years old €10. Our advice: wear clothing suited to the weather of the day and good walking shoes. Bring water and a small snack in your backpack. Registrations on 07 78 87 82 63.

  • Plant fair and garden art in Malemort : selected producers will offer you different varieties to arrange and beautify your corner of nature: flowers, shrubs, rose bushes, vegetable plants, etc. Find your happiness in the scents, colors, shapes, styles. From 9 a.m. to 18 p.m. at the Pasteur field. Catering on site. FREE ENTRANCE. Also creative workshops to learn how to repot your plants and decorate your planters from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 14 p.m. to 16 p.m.

  • Cinema snack “Les petits singulariers” at the Rex: A program of 4 short films which celebrates singularity through unique and captivating characters, whose stories will help children build a model of acceptance and empathy. At 16 o'clock. Also on May 11. Information: 05 55 22 41.

  • Karaoke evening at the essential : Michel Capillon, well known to regulars, will host this evening: we sing, we dance, we celebrate, all in joy and good humor! Catering available from 19 p.m. to midnight. Information and reservation on 00 06 22 94 32. Also karaoke on Sunday.

Thursday May 9

  • The Malemortoise Arrow : The Cyclo Randonneur Malemortois organizes this cycling race on the roads of the Tour du Limousin. Mountain bikers and walkers will not be left out. The departure will take place in the multipurpose room:
    - Departure at 8:00 a.m. for the 68, 86 and 115 km of road
    - Departure 8:30 a.m. for the 34 and 50 km by mountain bike
    - Departure at 8:30 a.m. for the 11 km walk

  • The Ascension Flea Market in Allassac : this event is a must for Spring garage sales with nearly 3 km of unpacking and 300 exhibitors. Refreshment bar and catering on site. Come stroll in search of a favorite in the avenues de la Gare and Victor Hugo.

Friday May 10

  • Market in Allassac: stock up on local products directly from producers at the market located in the center of Allassac.

  • Tropical evening at the Causse Brewery : Tropical evening with African rhythms: Cumbia, Bachata, Merengue with DJ BEAT who will make you dance to the Caliente sound of AfricaSound. As for catering, you can enjoy tapas and/or an African dish. From 19:30 p.m.

Saturday May 11

  • Discover the large market of Brive on the Place de la Guierle and under the Halle Georges Brassens. Another market is also held on Place Thiers on Saturday mornings (in front of the Halle Gaillarde).

  • Plant swap in Perpezac-Le-Blanc : coffee, good humor, conviviality, exchanges... and lots of plants, seedlings, flowers, shrubs... are already on the program! Meet from 9 a.m. under the barnum in the Town Hall car park. For the youngest, a creative workshop (plant and floral paintings, weaving, etc.) with the Parents' Association is organized in the Village Hall from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Registrations on 06 18 13 03 74.
  • Guided tour : Brive, its history and heritage. Brive has been a place of passage for the Corrèze since prehistory, the agglomeration which was created in the 5th century around the sanctuary of Saint-Martin the Spaniard, took advantage of this crossroads situation to develop. A fortified city at least since the 12th century, it knows how to play alliances with powerful neighboring lords and reversals of allegiance towards France and the Duke of Aquitaine (King of England). During a walk along these streets, you will discover beautiful Renaissance and classical architecture and the Saint-Martin collegiate church offers beautiful examples of Romanesque and Gothic architecture. Meet at the Tourist Office at 10 a.m. at Place du 14July in Brive. Price: €5 (from 12 years old). Duration: 1h30.

  • Mario evening at the Brasserie La Banou : 3, 2, 1, Off to a good start!! It's time to compete against your friends in Mario Kart on a giant screen. And to get in the mood, don't forget your best Mario costumes. From 18h.

Sunday, May 12

  • Numerous markets in the morning including the renowned Objat market and Malemort market. Find all our markets HERE.

  • Garage sales in Dampniat: The parents' association invites you to meet us at the 10 Collines stadium from 10 a.m. to discover the stalls of this garage sale.

  • Nature discovery outing offered by Jardin Sauvage: Meet at 10:00 a.m. at the gate of the Saint Antoine caves, then carpool to the places to discover. You will be able to observe the emblematic plants of this period. Picnic around 13 p.m. in Noailles in front of the supermarket and second meeting at the same place at 14 p.m. It is strongly recommended to register by email the days preceding this event in order to participate: dominigaudefroy@orange.fr.

  • Guided tour of the Sanctuary of Caves of Saint-Antoine : discover the life of Saint Anthony and the history of the Sanctuary. Hosted by Emmanuelle Coulondre, Philippe Mazaud and Brother Danick. At 15:30 p.m. Information: 05 55 24 10 60.
