Gardens of the Imagination
TERRASSON-LAVILLEDIEU
From €0.00 - Full price
Created in 1996 by Pierre Delmon, Mayor of Terrasson-Lavilledieu, the Jardins de l'Imaginaire welcome you overlooking the Vézère, in the Périgord Noir. This major cultural site, labeled a remarkable garden, extends over more than 6 hectares. Kathryn Gustafson, landscape architect, has integrated very contemporary architectural lines into the Perigord landscape, illustrations of the way in which man dialogues with Nature.
From the start of the route, a golden ribbon winds through the trees, inviting you on a path of imagination... Water games and wind movements accompany you through thirteen thematic gardens. The green theater offers you a unique view of the old town of Terrasson-Lavilledieu, the water gardens refresh you, the rose garden excites your senses, the greenhouse of architect Ian Ritchie embodies the creative encounter between dry stone , glass and metal.
