To help you organize your New Year's Eve, find the list of Christmas masses planned in Brive and the surrounding towns.
Christmas vigils very often begin with Christmas mass and it is a highlight of the end-of-year celebrations in general. Practitioners and non-practitioners flock to this very popular celebration. They are often called midnight masses even though they often do not take place at such a late hour. On this occasion, living, handcrafted nativity scenes or scenes decorated with figurines are installed in churches to depict the Nativity.

A living nativity scene will be installed in front of the church on December 15 at 17:30 p.m. A choir will provide entertainment.
From 16:30 p.m. to 17:15 p.m., on the square in front of the Collegiate Church of St-Martin, a nativity scene will be staged in the form of 5 paintings: the Annunciation, the Visitation, the Nativity, the Announcement to the Shepherds and the Visit of the Magi, punctuated by beautiful songs illustrating each painting.
This year, to celebrate the 800th anniversary of the first living nativity scene desired by Saint Francis (in 1223), the Franciscan brothers at the Sanctuary of Saint-Antoine are organizing a vigil. A living nativity scene will be installed under the pilgrim's shelter, facing the church followed by a Christmas Eve celebration in the church. From 19h.
