Holiday calendar for seasonal products

It's autumn and among the Gaillards, in Corrèze, we love gastronomy and parties! These two passions are found in our autumn calendar with numerous activities and festivals which enhance our local products in a friendly atmosphere.

The Baco Nouveau festival in Saint-Robert (October 8 2023)

Baco nouveau is a rigorous, early wine, harvested between the end of September and the beginning of October. It is very colorful, tannic, rich in alcohol, with a slight bitterness. This celebration takes the form of a festive market prepared by many volunteers to allow everyone to enjoy various products: garlic rub, calves' head, blood sausages, pancakes, desserts... The day is hosted by the Bernard Rual Orchestra.

The Baco Nouveau festival is also an opportunity to share a festive day in Saint-Robert, a village classified among the most beautiful in France. 

The apple festival in Brive  (October 21 2023)

This autumnal fruit is always celebrated on a Saturday in October on the Place de la Collégiale. The opportunity for visitors to taste apples in multiple ways (sale of pies, juices, compotes). Children aged 6 to 12 will also be able to participate in the pie-making competition. Many free activities are offered all day long: merry-go-round, banda, little apple train, educational workshops... New this year: Snow White and the 7 dwarves parade & witch with the poisoned apple.

The pumpkin festival in Chabrignac (October 21 and 22, 2023)

The flagship vegetable ofHalloween, it is in Chabrignac that it is celebrated! For this 27th edition, between activities and meals, young and old will find what they are looking for during this celebration. The weekend just before the famous Halloween party, the pumpkin is honored in Chabrignac. The theme this year is “the pumpkin enters the museum”.

The principle remains unchanged: decoration of the school yard and surroundings of the town hall, exhibitors and rides in the street, games and magic show for children Saturday.

On Sunday : weighing of the big pumpkin and inauguration (10:30 a.m.), lunch at 20 euros, under the hall, making bread, cider, sale of regional products, entertainment, shows (Les Romain Michel at 15:30 p.m., then concert with 50/ 50), releasing lanterns…
