Les Mycéliades science fiction festival

Many workshops. et film screenings (great classics of the genre) are planned from February 1 to 15, 2024 in Brive at the Le Rex Cinema and the Media Library in Brive city center. This rich program was prepared in collaboration with Les Yeux Verts, Carré Ciné, the Gobelin Gaillard board game store, the image education center in Nouvelle Aquitaine and the Brive Cinema Festival (International Medium Film Meetings) .

AT THE REX CINEMA

  • Saturday February 3 at 20 p.m.  : Cinema-games - The thing by John Carpenter (1982 - Horror-horror). Prohibited for children under 12 years old. Following the screening, role-playing and board games evening including one from John Carpenterr's film The Thing hosted by the board game store Gobelin Gaillard.

  • Sunday February 4 at 17 p.m.: Terminator by James Cameron. Followed by an exchange with Jean-Luc Louis from the Gignac Ensemble association, as an extension of the conference “Will Artificial Intelligence Surpass Us?” » which will take place at the Brive Municipal Media Library, on Saturday February 3 at 15 p.m.

  • Tuesday February 6 at 18:30 p.m.: Midnight Special  by Jeff Nichols.

  • Wednesday February 7 at 17 p.m.: Ciné-game - Robocop by Paul Verhoeven. Following the screening, video game session on the big screen with the game BroForce in connection with the “video game and cinema” conference at the Brive media library the same day at 10 a.m. In partnership with Les Yeux Verts, Image Education Center in New Aquitaine, Carré Ciné and the Brive Cinema Festival - Brive International Medium Film Meetings.

  • Thursday February 8 at 20:30 p.m.: Under the skin by Johnathan Glazer. (Thriller)

  • Friday February 9 at 21 p.m.: Army of the 12 Monkeys by Terry Gilliam (Thriller).

  • Saturday February 10 at 19 p.m.: Cinema-game - AND The Extra-Terrestrial by Steven Spielberg.
    Pre-program: screening of a film made by participants in the Swedish film workshop “Come and remake the trailer for ET” produced during the day of Saturday February 10 at the Municipal Media Library of Brive, in partnership with Les Yeux Verts, Image Education Center in Nouvelle-Aquitaine and Carré Ciné.
    Following the screening: 3rd game encounters with the Gobelin Ciné-jeux family board games store (from 8 years old) board and card games around the theme of space travel, a fun encounter with creatures and extraterrestrial worlds...

  • Sunday February 11 at 17 p.m.: blade runner by Ridley Scott.

  • Monday February 12 at 18:30 p.m.: Mars express by Jérémie Périn.

  • Wednesday February 14 at 16 p.m.: Donnie Darko by Richard Kelly.
