Heritage Days: medieval events at the Templar Commandery

Posted on September 2, 2024 by Samuel

The Commandery of Mons in Varetz was occupied by the Templars from the 12th to the beginning of the 14th century then by the Knights Hospitaller of the Order of Malta until the Revolution.

An estate that became private following the sale as national property during the Revolution and having belonged to a few families, this site was not open to visitors until 2023. Visiting these places therefore remains an exceptional opportunity following the opening authorizations by the new owner.

With heritage days From September 20 to 22, the Templar Commandery will relive the medieval era and you will be able to attend numerous events.
