A wind of renewal is blowing across the gastronomic landscape of Brive-La-Gaillarde. In recent times, several of the city's iconic restaurants have been in flux, experiencing both changes of ownership and conceptual revolutions. This development, which combines respect for local culinary heritage and innovation, marks a significant turning point in the Brivist gastronomic experience.

“La Toupine” becomes “Moon”

Handover between Isabelle and Olivier Maurin who have delighted our taste buds for twenty years with their establishment La Toupine et Armandine Renault et Nicolas Laval which open Moon.

“Le 4” becomes “Le Saint-Germain”

Fatima Le Bailly took over the restaurant Le 4 which is now called Le Saint-Germain in reference to the neighborhood where she grew up in Paris.

Located at 4 rue Majour, The St-Germain offers traditional meals at lunchtime, tapas in the evening and brunch on Sundays.

“Snack Beef” becomes “L’Atelier du Boucher”

After selling the Carpoguinguette which was very successful with its great barbecue formula, Mathieu Farges joined forces with Christophe Rathonie (cook) to open the Atelier du Boucher.

Coming directly from the Brive slaughterhouse, the meats are worked in the restaurant's laboratory before being cooked on the plancha or in the brazier (depending on the season). Also to taste: sharing boards and homemade pastries.
