The agglomeration of Brive la Gaillarde, in collaboration with the Editions Glénant, is proud to announce the release of two valuable resources for all hiking enthusiasts: a detailed topo guide and roaming card. These tools were designed as part of the hiking plan developed by the Brive metropolitan area, aiming to promote and facilitate the discovery of the natural and heritage wealth of the region through walking.
The Brive region is distinguished by its outdoor activities, real major assets for the destination. Hiking is one of them. Its offer is particularly qualified and diversified: more than 300 km of paths dedicated to pedestrian roaming, 26 short hikes (qualified PDIPR) adapted to all levels, a remarkable escape known as "the Causse loop", 11 large loops for the more adventurous, as well as an exciting variation of the "Way of St. James" linking Brive to Turenne.
Opting for hiking or cycling to discover the Corrèze landscapes allows you to experience an unforgettable vacation, while minimizing your carbon footprint. To facilitate these discoveries, a bicycle rental offer spread across the territory, as well as a mountain bike rental base at Lac du Causse and Saillant have been put in place.
In the spirit of making adventure accessible to all, turnkey weekends by bike are also offered to explore the Corrèze gems, combining physical effort, visual pleasure and cultural discovery.
To celebrate the release of these new tools and encourage their use, an event hike is organized on Saturday March 23, in company Hervé Thro, recognized author of the guide “ Emilie trails ", and Nicolas, local expert who will share the secrets of the flora and fauna of the region.
