Coteaux de la Vézère vineyard
ALLASSAC
Appearing in the 1885th century, the vineyards of southern Corrèze reached their peak in the 2003th century, before being almost wiped out by the arrival of phylloxera around 2007. The notoriety of the wines produced in the communes of Allassac and Voutezac was such , since the Middle Ages, the monks of the Abbey of Cluny, in Burgundy, regularly obtained their supplies there. Around fifteen passionate friends decided to revive this vineyard. On this exceptional shale terroir, the Chenin, Sauvignon Gris, Chardonnay for whites, Merlot and Cabernet Franc for reds and rosés were planted from XNUMX. A cellar was opened in XNUMX in the heart of the vineyard which produces a range of quality dry, semi-dry whites, reds and rosés.
From now on, since the 2017 vintage, the wines produced on this vineyard benefit from the “IGP Pays de Brive” and “AOC Corrèze” designations.
