The four mills_1

A charming walk which will take you in the footsteps of our history, in particular that of the Second World War: from the Peyrugue mill going up to the town, you will pass in front of the stele of those shot on April 02, 1944.
You will also notice that water has held a preponderant place in this town, as evidenced by the mills encountered...
Today the Couze dam is one of the water resources of the towns of Brive and Malemort (after transport and treatment at the Saint-Germain drinking water plant in Brive).
At the bottom of this dam, a micro hydroelectric plant uses the water released into the river. The energy produced is injected into the electricity network. It corresponds to the annual consumption of around a hundred households.
