The valleys

This walk, which starts in the charming village of Estivaux (Romanesque church from the XNUMXth and XNUMXth centuries and noble house), will take you to the edge of the Vézère gorges.
At the top of its rock overlooking the river, you will see the remains of the castle of Comborn (2th to XNUMXth centuries), seat of one of the four viscounties of Bas-Limousin, cradle of several great feudal families (the Comborn, the XNUMXnd dynasty of the Turennes, the Ventadours).
You will enjoy a shaded break at the edge of the river... before valiantly going up towards the pretty hamlet of Theil and entering the woods (viewpoint over the Monédières). Near the place called Peuch, you will see the dolmen of “la Peyre levade”.
Finally, a path offering a panoramic view of the Vézère gorges will take you back to Bourg d'Estivaux.
