The museum is located in the family home of Edmond Michelet, resistance fighter and statesman (1899-1970). Its field of study and its collections concern the Second World War, the Resistance and the Deportation, in France and Corrèze. It presents a significant collection of propaganda posters, which now constitutes the heritage specificity of the museum which offers a permanent exhibition and hosts temporary exhibitions. It receives the individual and school public, makes its documentation and archives center available for any research concerning its field of study.
The museum also organizes guided tours of its temporary exhibitions and workshops for children throughout the year.
It takes part in the European Night of Museums in May and the European Heritage Days in September.
