Modern, offbeat and at the same time traditional, Brive Tourisme adopted the mustache since the 2010s and made everyone wear it, without exception.

The history of the mustache

During the work carried out for the creation of the Brive 100% Gaillarde brand platform, interviews were carried out with locals (tourism socio-professionals, businesses, elected officials, residents) in order to find out what was for them THE symbol of Gaillard, the one under which we could largely find ourselves. The element that came up the most during these interviews was: the Corrèze grandpa with his berret (or beret 😉) and his mustache who has a strong accent, speaks patois and rolls the “r”s the old-fashioned way. The symbol of the mustache was then found!

A unifying symbol

The idea of this mustache is to offer locals and passing visitors an element under which they can gather, which they can wear proudly and which symbolizes our whole light, fun and quirky state of mind. Wearing a mustache on your clothes or under your nose is a question of personality and above all a form of originality which reflects all the gaillard lightness and claims a form of freedom!

All with mustaches, all gaillard

You will have understood, here we appreciate it, we like it, we LOVE it! Elegant or extravagant, it is in any case always sincere.
