Open stages in Brive

Published on May 12, 2023 by Marie-Laure

Well dance now!

27 May 2023 open scenes return for a second edition. Following COVID, “Danse en Mai” reinvented itself in 2022 and the open stages were maintained for one day, thus offering a spotlight on amateur dancers.

For this new edition, the Guierle garden is transformed into a real village dedicated to dance: a podium and a dance floor will be set up and the kiosk will be used.

The concept

  • L’Empreinte, associations and the conservatory are mobilizing for this event.
  • Nearly 600 amateur dancers will take turns under the century-old plane trees of Parc de la Guierle from 10 a.m. to 18:30 p.m.
  • All dances will be represented: Bourrée, hip-hop, tap, tango, classical dance...
  • The Bordeaux collective Ussé Inné, invited by l'Empreinte will close the day with a participatory project "Boom!", inviting amateurs and curious passers-by in a joyful collective choreography.
