Meet at the gardens

“Rendez-vous aux jardins” allows visitors to discover the gardens from a new angle according to the chosen theme. This 20th edition will be held from May 31 to June 2, 2024 and the theme chosen this year is: “The 5 senses in the garden”.
The program of our partner gardens:
Colette Gardens (19240 - Varetz):
This year, it is the opportunity to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the death of the writer Colette. To liven up these 3 days, several meetings are organized:
- Saturday June 1 : a guided tour in the footsteps of the novelist Colette will be offered at 15 p.m.
Sunday, June 2 :
- At 14:30 p.m., guided tour in the footsteps of the novelist Colette
- At 16h, meeting and discussions with a park gardener.
Also take advantage of this weekend to make your inner child grow! Discover the giant retro games, without forgetting the labyrinth and treasure hunt by Detective Labigle... Good times of laughter and sharing with family or friends in perspective!
The gardens are open from 10 a.m. to 18 p.m. without interruption, picnics and dogs are welcome in the park.
The gardens of Turenne Castle :
- Friday 31 May : at 11:30 a.m. and 15 p.m.: guided tour of the castle and hanging garden
- Saturday June 1st : at 11:30 a.m. and 15 p.m., guided tours of the castle followed by a guided tour of the garden by our head gardener Didier Carlat. At 16:30 p.m., games around the garden for the children and at 19:30 p.m.: vocal show FACADE by Psychiatrik Opéra (on reservation).
- Sunday 2 June : at 11:30 a.m. and 15 p.m., guided tours of the castle followed by a guided tour of the garden by our head gardener Didier Carlat. From 14 p.m. to 18 p.m., “Unexpected meeting in the castle garden”: animation by a falconry association “Les Grandes Ailes Corréziennes”. 16:30 p.m.: games around the garden for the children.
The Sothys Contemporary Botanical Gardens (Auriac - 19220)
- You can visit the Sothys Gardens from 10 a.m. to 19 p.m. from May 31 to June 2. Note that on Sunday June 2, from 15 p.m., there will be a talk with Emilie Gabet, environmental educator from the CPIE (Permanent Center for Environmental Initiatives) in Corrèze.

The Gardens of Hautefort Castle (24390)
Experience an immersion in the 3th century, with the harmonious and balanced classic architecture of the Château de Hautefort, its furnished apartments, and its remarkable French gardens (7ha). Open 7 days a week from 10 a.m. to 18 p.m. All public.
The Gardens of the Imagination (Terrasson - 24120):
- Come and discover the gardens from Wednesday to Monday from 9:30 a.m. to 17:30 p.m. It is at your own pace accompanied by a smartphone application “Les Jardins de L'Imaginaire” which can be downloaded before your arrival that you will be able to discover the 13 paintings of this beautiful contemporary garden. The Water Gardens (Carsac Aillac - 24200)
- Discover the remarkable garden of Périgord from 10 a.m. to 19 p.m. A true aquatic "arboretum" overlooking the wild banks of the Dordogne. Discover a collection of aquatic plants.

- Don't hesitate to bring your picnic basket. Some gardens offer picnics on site.
