Reading nights in Corrèze

The media libraries of Brive-La-Gaillarde, Objat and Varetz are participating in these Reading Nights. 18 at 20 January 2024 which has this year's theme the body.
This is the third edition offered by the National Book Center. One thing is certain: young audiences, teenagers and families are expected in the media libraries and will spend moments rich in emotion!
Reading Nights in Brive-La-Gaillarde:
- Thursday January 18 2024 between 19:30 p.m. and 21 p.m.: Reading nights at the CDI of the Cité scolaire d’Arsonval. Come and discover musical readings about the body offered by high school students in the theater and music option, for everyone.
- Friday January 19, 2024: Murder Party at the City Center Media Library from 19 p.m. to 20 p.m. A body has been discovered: it's up to you to investigate to try to unmask the suspect, discover the murder weapon and the location of the murder. A game booklet will be given to you, remember to take a pencil and an electric lamp. By reservation only on 05 55 18 17 50.
- Saturday January 20, 2024: from 18 p.m. to 18:30 p.m. and from 18:45 p.m. to 19:15 p.m.: Readings on the theme of gluttony for 2-5 year olds by librarians. At the city center Media Library.
- Saturday January 20: Spectcale Pirates on board at the city center Media Library at 19 p.m. Embark on the land of pirates with a story revisited by the librarians of the service outside the walls of Brive.
- Saturday, January 20 : Show The Big Bad Fox at the city center Media Library at 20 p.m. It’s the story of a fox who is neither big nor bad, but who nevertheless would like to be. By registration on 05 55 18 17 50
Reading Nights at Objat:
Thursday January 18, 2024: evening dedicated to middle school students
At Collège d'Objat - From 18:30 p.m. to 20:30 p.m.
Reading texts or poems about the Body by the students
Screening of the short film “The crime of innocence: the last journey of the children of Izieu”. Video where only dance and music express the story of these Jewish children during the Shoah
Intervention of Manon Morin (Choreographer), by Yves Ponthier (History teacher) and Jean-Claude Jarrige (German teacher), followed by a debate with the students.
Friday January 19, 2024: Evening open to the public
At the Congress Hall
From 19:30 am to 19:45 pm : “Hell out!” : play proposed by young people from the Foyer Rural de Saint-Aulaire theater troupe
- From 19:45 p.m. to 20:30 p.m.: Reading relay proposed by students from different classes at Objat elementary school. Closing of this relay with a traditional dance with CE2 students.
- From 20:30 p.m. to 21:30 p.m.: Youth activities with Christian Gaut and Marcel Champion: projection of a comic strip without text and construction of a story directly with the children. Then discussions and signings with the author and the illustrator (Thérébentine team).
Saturday January 20, 2024: day and evening open to the public
At the Objat media library
- From 16:00 p.m. to 17:00 p.m.: mediative reading workshop to the sound of the Tibetan bowl hosted by Cécile Silver and François Gruffat
- From 20 p.m. to 21:30 p.m.: conference on the theme of the Body hosted by Louis-Olivier Vitté (writer) in the presence of three writers and a lyrical artist: Guillemette de la Borie, Virginie Durant, Juvénal Thiaré Abita and Nathalie Marcillac. During this conference and, taking into account the varied worlds of each guest, the Body on stage, the Body at economic stake.
- From 21:30 p.m. to 22:00 p.m.: meetings and signings with the various speakers.

Reading night in Varetz
- Saturday 20 January 2024 : The Varetz media library invites you to a sleepover at 18h.
Come in your pajamas with your cuddly toys to meet the media library volunteers who will tell you funny, surprising and touching stories on the theme of the body. From 18 p.m. to 19 p.m.
