On the program this Sunday: market, picnic, nap and swimming. And for this, a destination is ideal: Objat!
Last Sunday, with my friend, the sun was out and we wanted to have a picnic and get some fresh air. A destination came to mind: Objat, a town located 20 minutes from Brive. So no need to leave too early!
After spending a week locked up working, this day is welcome to get some fresh air. Head to the Objat market, an essential place to buy 100% local provisions and be sure to enjoy yourself.
Under the market and in the village, we made our first purchases for the picnic aperitif: walnut tapenade, pâté, figs stuffed with foie gras, a little smoked duck breast. Don't forget the bread! It's still hot, so how can you resist and not eat the chignon right away?
Following purchases in catering mode, it's Sunday, we don't have to complicate our lives, plus there's plenty of choice!
Last mission before the picnic: find a place to rest with a little shade and quiet.
We have decided, the freshness of the body of water which is right next to the market, 2 minutes on foot, and the shade of the trees which surround it make the place perfect for lunch. Plus, you don’t even need to get back in the car! If you want to take a little nap or a digestive walk, the place is ideal. We therefore leave for the Espace Loisirs Jacques Lagrave. The Municipal Park, along the river can also be another option.
It wasn't initially planned but as we passed by the EcoPiscine, we wanted to cool off. Luckily we had the swimsuits in the car, just in case... There is a large outdoor swimming pool and an indoor pool. Water games delight families. After testing the EcoPiscine for the first time, we are determined to come back and test the Nordic pool in the middle of winter (water heated to 29°) and enjoy the relaxation area with sauna and hammam.
On Sunday morning, the city center is closed to car traffic and stalls occupy the space. You can therefore stroll through the streets in complete safety. We advise you to park in the large car park at Place Jean-Lagarde when you arrive. You will see, you are a stone's throw from the market and the city center and close to the Lake and the EcoPiscine.
