The Gaillard Hall aims to “restore attractiveness” to the south-Brive sector, to assert its “market function” and to promote the historical and built heritage of the surrounding area.
We gave it the nickname of Cathedral of Gastronomy due to its architectural signature. It was conceived and built with local companies, offering soft and pleasant acoustics, and benefits from air-conditioned organic construction.
Opened at the end of 2019 on Place Tassigny, the Hall is now home to many traders.
In summer, entertainment, concerts are scheduled regularly thanks to a partnership between Brive Tourisme and the Hall traders' association. Every Sunday, a concert is offered at the end of the morning on the terrace. Tables and chairs are set up, allowing you to taste dishes purchased from the Hall's traders while enjoying the musical entertainment.
Consult our article “Detox Sunday" for more information.

Ideally located, enjoy the underground car park Thiers, to make your purchases easier.
Free for the first half hour, it will only cost you 1 euro on Saturday!
Outdoors, just a stone's throw away, the Winston Churchill car park has around a hundred places and we're giving you the first 2 hours as a gift!
It's a market where we advise you to come with a large basket as the traders' stalls are so tempting. Here you will find culinary specialties that make gourmet Brive famous: foie gras, cheeses, nuts, strawberries, raspberries... but also delicatessens, roasteries... It's difficult to resist all these temptations and no one will blame you for sitting down at a table for a little snack. A new friendly place where we like to linger for lunch on site or simply "have a bite to eat".
