The village of Jugeals-Nazareth

Before arriving in Turenne, stop by the XNUMXth century street-based village of Jugeals-Nazareth where a very special story is told on interpretive panels (the kibbutz). Among the must-sees of this village: the Saint-Gilles de Jugeals church, the Notre-Dame-de-Nazareth church and the Gallic bridge.

The Gouffre de La Fage

Then, head to the Romanesque church of Noailles and visit the Gouffre de La Fage, one of the most beautiful caves in the region. On the agenda: richness and density of concretions, paleontological fields, and bat colonies visible at certain times of the year. Let yourself be amazed.

Turenne, Collonges-la-Rouge and Curemonte

Let's then set off to discover three of the Most Beautiful Villages in France: Turenne, a hilltop village, with a collegiate church, and a dismantled castle which houses “the Garden of the Great Navigators”; the red sandstone village of Collonges-la-Rouge and Curemonte. So many beautiful things ! A detour to the Neanderthal Museum with a stop at the Branceilles wine cellar. Then we head back towards Beaulieu-sur-Dordogne to see the Benedictine abbey church with its Romanesque tympanum.

Aubazine and its religious heritage

Return to Aubazine to discover the Cistercian abbey where Gabrielle Chanel spent part of her childhood. Take the opportunity to stroll along the canal des monks, a building built in the 12th century to supply the abbey with water.
