Pompadour and his Marquise!
Among the many visiting days which are offered to you, this one will introduce you to the writer Colette and her gardens as well as the city of Pompadour.
Colette Gardens
Colette invites you into her world: six thematic gardens representing six regions of France where she stayed. A poetic discovery between nature and the exciting universe of the writer and his emblematic character, the schoolgirl Claudine.
Pompadour
Pompadour is as famous for its castle as for its national stud farm. Also called the “city of the horse”, the small town is known throughout the world for its horse shows. We invite you to discover its castle and its stables: an immersion in the XNUMXth century, with different settings, traditional outfits
and breathtaking views of the Pompadour racecourse. In the stables, artists' horses in residence, heavy horses, several Anglo-Arabs and two presidential horses, entrusted to the care of agents of the National Stud are housed.
