The controlled market for fresh truffles

During the season of Foires au Gras of Brive-La-Gaillarde, which also corresponds to the truffle period, a controlled market for the sale of fresh truffes retail is held every Saturday morning from Saturday December 2, 2023 until the end of February or the beginning of March depending on the harvest starting at 8 a.m. in the Brassens Hall.

A quality product worth its weight in black gold

The first truffles appear at the beginning of December. The season runs until the end of February. Tastier as they mature, prices also vary depending on their aesthetic quality, between 500 and 1000 euros per kilo.

But rest assured, no need to buy a kilo of truffles to enjoy them. Allow 20 grams per person to treat yourself, which will cost you around 5 euros per person!
