It is the emblematic fruit of Voutezac, a village located in the Vézère valley !

Among all our fruits and vegetables, here is a local product full of energy. There is something for everyone: yellow peaches, white peaches, flat peaches, white brugnons, yellow brugnons, blood peaches and even vine peaches. In addition to its savory and sweet taste, peach is low in calories. No more reason to deprive yourself!

The history of Voutezac fishing

Beyond the wide range offered, fishing has a real history anchored in our lands. In the past, the territory was mainly used for vine and tobacco farming.

In the mid-1950s, fishing appeared thanks to René Jarrigue who planted the first plants. Other farmers, sensing an interesting market, also launched into production. There will be nearly fifteen of them marketing this juicy fruit.

Unfortunately for fishing, it is not the only one to interest farmers... the apple she too is very present and wasted no time in stealing the spotlight. So much so that currently, there are only 5 fishing farms left in the town.

The fishing festival

Despite everything, the fervor around this fruit continues thanks to the Voutezac Fishing Festival which takes place in July. There is also a brotherhood: The Voutezac peach tasters. Around thirty members defend the history of this fruit and thus their local terroir.
