Ah, foie gras... This product alone represents all of our gastronomy: indulgence, sharing and above all the quality of the product.

PGI

We are part of the very closed (and coveted) circle of foie gras in the southwest.

More than just a geographical area, the South-West represents an IGP (Controlled Geographical Indication) for the production of foie gras. This distinction is the guarantee that the duck has been raised, prepared and packaged in the South-West while respecting ancestral traditions. It is also the assurance of impeccable feeding and manufacturing quality. This IGP brings together the regions of Chalosse, Gers, Gascogne, Landes, Quercy and finally Périgord, our home.

But this guarantee does not stop there since there is also an IGP applying exclusively to Périgord. This certification was possible thanks to the “Foie gras du Périgord” Association created in 1993.

You should know that there are only two species of ducks certified IGP: the Muscovy duck and the Mulard duck.

Breeding is carried out in accordance with traditions and in the open air. The ducklings arrive at the farm on their first day. For 11 to 14 weeks, they are fed Southwestern corn, herbs and local grains. Force-feeding begins when the ducklings weigh at least 3,5 kg and never before their 81st day.
