Markets throughout the week

Some people only swear by sleeping in during the weekend or even having a sports session when it is so pleasant to go to the market. A major meeting place, the market is an opportunity to stock up on vitamins and eat mainly locally. In Gaillard land, we find them almost every day, so on your marks, ready? Raise your baskets!

Going to the market: gaillard and responsible activity!

  1. Consuming local products is the guarantee of having fresh food and reducing your carbon footprint.
  2. Buying seasonal products: each season has its stars and its star vegetables. And here it's a festival: ceps, truffles, walnuts, apples, raspberries, strawberries....
  3. Meeting and discussing with producers in a friendly atmosphere! We don't just fill our shopping bags, we get some tips and recipe ideas.
  4. The market is the fair price for both the consumer (short circuit) and the producer.

The Objat market

Objat, it is the city in the countryside, a market which attracts nearly 10 000 consumers every Sunday. Site remark of taste, the Objat basin is full of local products that make it a territory of excellence: apples, nuts, veal raised under the mother, truffles...

The Objat market is renowned for its diversity and wealth of local and regional products. There are numerous stalls offering fresh fruit and vegetables, regional cheeses, cold meats, local wines, ready meals, flowers, clothing and accessories, artisanal products, and many other things. And that's without mentioning the many stores which are also all open on Sunday morning!

In addition to the offer of local products, the Objat market is also a friendly meeting and exchange place for city residents and visitors. The numerous café terraces are taken by assault! In summer, we often come across musicians, artists and artisans, who add a touch of creativity and dynamism to the already lively atmosphere of the market.

Overall, the Objat market is a must-see destination for those who want to discover the flavors and traditions of Corrèze, as well as for those who love shopping and a friendly atmosphere.
