Discover our ideas for activities to keep your children busy during the Christmas holidays and to keep them waiting until Santa Claus arrives.

Enjoy the magic of “Brive Fête Noël”  

From December 8 to January 7, magic takes over the city center and brings many events not to be missed: the big parade for the arrival of Santa Claus on December 8, luminous structures, the gourmet market,  the toboggan run, concerts, strolls, the funfair...... 

You can also stroll through the city center of Brive and discover light structures installed in different squares. Without forgetting the Brive illuminations which are even more beautiful this year. Find all the information on our page dedicated to Brive entertainment

To amnege

  • In Brive, you will find a carousel on the Place du Civoire and the funfair on the Place du 14July. (Also from 8).
  • Objat also celebrates Christmas during the holidays. Among the activities offered, young and old alike will be able to enjoy the rides in the city center from December 15 to 31. See the program in the section Christmas in Objat

Have fun while staying warm

No need to be outdoors to enjoy the thrills! Escape game, laser game or even virtual reality headsets guarantee adrenaline rushes. Consult our section: Indoor activities

  • Theater workshop: 27/12. from 10 a.m. to 17 p.m. with performance at the end of the session. From 10 years old. Price: 20€
  • Circus workshop: 28/12 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 14 p.m. to 16 p.m. Juggling, acrobatics, expression games. Starting from 7 years old. Price: 20€
  • Sewing workshop: January 3. From 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 14 p.m. to 16 p.m. From 6 years old. Price: 20€
  • Archaeological investigations: January 4. By applying methods inspired by those of archaeologists, you will investigate and manage to interpret and imagine the lives of women and men of the past. From 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. or from 14 p.m. to 16 p.m. From the age of 8. Price: 10€
  • Musical creation - MAO. From 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 14 p.m. to 16 p.m. Starting from 7 years old. Price: €15.

Edmond Michelet Museum

  • “Puppet making” workshops" offered at the museum. Reservation required at 05.55.74.06.08 (limit of 10 children per workshop, duration 1h30). January 5 at 15 p.m. Also January 24 at 15 p.m.

  • Wednesday December 6: “Once upon a time... Santa Claus” show at 10:30 a.m. at the Michel Dumas Media Library. Reservations required on 05 55 18 27 69.
  • Saturday, December 16: Christmas special Story Round show at 10:30 a.m. at the city center Media Library. Information on 05 55 18 17 50.
  • Saturday December 23: workshop creating a greeting card at 10:30 a.m. Reserved for children aged 2 to 7. At the city center media library. Information: 05 55 18 17 50

Discover or re-discover typical villages  

  • Randoland, will allow you to discover the territory in a fun way! No more walks where you drag your feet, it's you who is the actor in the plot! Routes available in Yssandon, Estivaux and Lissac sur Couze: click here.
  • Geocaching Terra Aventura : this fun game will lead you straight to treasures! Equipped with a smartphone, download the application and go looking for the famous caches! You have them in Vars-sur-Roseix, Sainte-Féréole, Chartrier-Ferrière, Brive-la-Gaillarde, Saint-Robert, Donzenac and Ayen. Find all the information on the Tèrra Aventura page.
  • Game booklets: Brive Tourisme also provides you with game booklets which will allow you to discover from a new angle: Ayen, Brive-la-Gaillarde, Donzenac, Yssandon, Saint-Robert and Turenne. These game booklets are available at the reception of the Brive Tourist Office or downloadable HERE

Get a breath of fresh air while hiking

Sporty or less sporty, we offer numerous circuits. hiking adapted to each person’s level. It's an opportunity to get some fresh air between two meals and do a little exercise. You will find a selection of trails HERE

Without forgetting the Greenway along the Corrèze and the Vézère… A gentle path to follow on foot or by bike. 

Stroll through the local markets

Truffles, foie gras, confits, chestnuts.... We are lucky to have stalls overflowing with local produce each more appetizing than the other. Do not hesitate to visit one of the many markets of our cheerful and very greedy country! Brive-La-Gaillarde (and its controlled truffle market), Objat, Malemort, Allassac... Without forgetting the Gaillard Hall which is a beautiful showcase of our local products.
