Brive and its surroundings are full of not-to-be-missed sites to visit in all weathers. From museums to sinkholes, including cinema and shopping: you are served! There is no question of giving way to a gray face or staying locked up at home...

Museums and local know-how

In the heart of the city of Brive, go to our gaillard museums to learn while staying dry. The Labenche Museum of Art and History awaits you to discover the city of Brive as you don't know it! But there is also the Edmond Michelet museum to know everything about resistance and deportation during the Second World War.

Epicureans will appreciate visits to distilleries which will introduce you to their ancestral know-how. Denoix Distillery in the city center of Brive or the Louis Roque Distillery in Souillac each have a small museum which traces their history.

Visit a castle or an abbey

Noble families resided in Corrèze, in Lot and in Dordogne. Their homes, sometimes richly furnished, are an opportunity to step back into the past and discover the history of the region. Discover our castles to visit.

We are also lucky to be a stone's throw away from Aubazine, a very beautiful Cistercian abbey. It is even said that Coco Chanel, who lived there, was inspired by the patterns of the stained glass windows to create her signature of two intertwined “Cs”.

Discover caves and chasms
